The Regional Theatre of Palouse’s production of “Plaza Suite” opens Feb. 10, bringing Neil Simon’s “masterpiece on love and marriage” to Pullman for seven performances.
Described in an RTOP news release as “a confection of three witty episodes,” the show stars guest artist Mindy Cassle, of New York City, and local talent Joseph Erhard-Hudson in the roles of the story’s three different couples.
“Hilarity abounds” in each of the three vignettes, all set in Suite 719 of the Plaza Hotel, as the dynamics of each relationship are explored.
The play’s original Broadway run comprised more than 1,000 performances, and it was adapted into the 1971 movie of the same name, starring Walter Matthau and Maureen Stapleton.
Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Feb. 10-11 and Feb. 16-18; 1:30 p.m. Feb. 12 and 19 at RTOP Theatre, 122 N. Grand Ave. Pullman. Tickets, $28-$30, are at rtoptheatre.org or by calling (509) 334-0750.
