"A Contentious History of Feminism in Korea"

Professor Ju Hui Judy Han (UCLA) will introduce the complex and diverse terrain of feminist politics in Korea today and tease out the politics of difference and questions of intersectionality at work in these contentious moments and spaces. The talk, one in the Asia on the Palouse Speakers Series, is in-person only in the Clearwater Room in the Idaho Student Union Building and is co-sponsored by the Idaho Asia Institute, the Program in Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies at the U of I, the Korea Foundation and the Northeast Asia Council of the Association for Asian Studies.
