Bike Safety Month safety event

Bike Safety Month is in May, and the St. John Library and Whitman County Sheriff’s Office are partnering for a bike safety event at 3 p.m. Friday, May 27, at the library. Everyone is invited to learn the ins and outs of riding on two wheels and the importance of wearing a helmet, staying visible and using hand signals. At the end of the event, bicycle helmets will be given away courtesy of the Whitman County Health Department. The St. John Library is open 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2-5 p.m. Mondays and Fridays and 2:30-6 p.m. Wednesdays.
