Chef Hop Vine celebrates region’s food and drink scene

Chef Hop Vine, a celebration of regional food and drink, will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18 at the Quality Inn in Clarkston.

Organized by the Lewis Clark Valley Chamber of Commerce, the evening  features area wineries, breweries and gourmet food.

Tickets are $60 and include 16 tastes of food and drink. There will be indoor and outdoor seating, along with lawn games, beer and wine trivia. Michael Jan Kelly of Lewiston will provide live music.

The event is a chance for people to meet with area winemakers, brewers and chefs in one place, said Blake Harrington, events coordinator for the chamber. “It’s important to highlight what we have here.”

Participating breweries are Riverport Brewing of Clarkston, Rants & Raves of Moscow and Paradise Creek Brewing of Pullman. Wineries are Basalt Cellars, Clearwater Canyon Cellars, Lindsay Creek Vineyards, Colter’s Creek, Parejas Cellars and Spiral Rock Vineyard. Food will be served by Jillybean Catering, Happy Day, Jollymore’s, Ampersand Oil & Vinegar Taphouse, Quay and My Chef Steph. The first 100 people will receive a swag bag.

Tickets are available at the door.

The Friday, Aug. 17 jet boat tour and gourmet dinner is sold-out.
