Jennifer Wilson of Lewiston won 360's first coloring contest.

Jennifer Wilson of Lewiston is the winner of Inland 360’s first coloring contest, which featured Pope Francis on his first U.S. tour.

Wilson, 57, riffed off our image of the pope holding a guitar by adding a slew of tiny details. Her pope is dressed in a yellow, green and red zigzag cassock. His pellegrina (the official term for his shoulder cape) is purple with orange flowers opening into blue peace signs. Blackbirds fly off his guitar and up his chest. He sports a tattoo that says “faith.” She transformed the Inland 360 logo into a sunflower. Every time one looks at Wilson’s picture a new detail emerges.

Wilson said the picture took a couple afternoons to color and that it helped that she spends a lot of time coloring with her grandchildren.

Wilson won dinner and movie tickets for four as the first prize in our contest. Hers was named the best of 29 entries received. We also selected a first place runner-up and four honorable mentions. Thank you to all who shared their creativity with the staff and readers of Inland 360. We’ll do it again sometime.
