Depot Days

Depot Days starts with a Palouse People public history talk from 7-8 p.m. Thursday in the Freight Room. when local historian Kathy Meyer will give a talk on the “Great Big Baked Potato,” once served on Northern Pacific Railway’s dining cars. An innovation of the railway that will be celebrated in a new exhibit, these potatoes often weighed 5 pounds or more and could serve an entire family. Email pullmandepot.events@gmail.org to reserve a seat for this lecture. *** There's an Open House for the community from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday, also in the Freight Room. *** Events continue from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Parking is available in nearby adjacent lots. Presented by the Pullman Depot Heritage Center, in collaboration with the Whitman County Historical Society.
