A full schedule for this year’s Palouse Pride celebration is at inlandoasis.org/pride2024, but here’s a brief rundown of the festivities in Moscow:
- Today’s Kick-Off Carnival, for all ages, is from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, at the Inland Oasis Center, 730 W. Pullman Rd., No. 3. Tickets to play games start at $1.
- All all-ages Drag & Bingo Night starts at 6 p.m. Friday at the Latah Fairgrounds Event Center, 1021 Harold Ave. Costs range from $2 for a single sheet to $20 for a full pack.
- The centerpiece Pride in the Park all-ages gathering, with live music and local vendors, is from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at East City Park, 900 E. Third St., following a march from the Federal Building at 220 E. Fifth St.
- A TabiKat Drag Show, for ages 16 and older, starts at 9 p.m. Saturday at the 1912 Center, 412 E. Third St. The cost is $15 at the door.
- There are two seatings for an 18+ Wrap-Up Brunch on Sunday at the Inland Oasis Center. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. for the bruch with food by The Smoke Ring and performances by local drag artists. Tickets are $30 at the door.
- Weekend passes, $75, are available on the Inland Oasis website.

Lapwai’s rescheduled Pride event starts at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday with a parade from the Lapwai Community Library, 103 N. Main St., to the Pi-Nee-Waus Community Center, 504 S. Main St., where the celebration continues until 7 p.m.
The free activities at the Pi-Nee-Waus will begin and end with Native drumming, and attendees can participate in a sound bath at the event, which is presented by the Nez Perce Tribe and Nimiipuu Health.
Free Indian tacos will be available while supplies last, and 10 prizes will be given away, including an inflatable two-person kayak.
Organizations such as Planned Parenthood and the YWCA will be on hand, as well as regional vendors with jewelry, crafts and tarot card readings.
TabiKat Productions of Moscow will DJ, with drag performances by two TabiKat artists and Seattle-based performer Cherri Bepsi.
There also will be a presentation about navigating the current political environment as an LGBTQIA person and testimonial from a trans community member about transitioning.

The 38th annual Lewiston’s Hot August Nights starts today, Thursday, Aug. 22, with the Rogers Motors Tune-up Show & Shine from 3-8 p.m. at Rogers Toyota, 2203 16th Ave.
Events continue with the Park & Play Car Show, featuring cars, trucks, ATVs and 4X4s, from 1-3 p.m. Friday at the Clearwater River Casino & Lodge, 17500 Nez Perce Road.
That’s followed by live music, including The Maple Bars, from 7-10 p.m. downtown at New Sixth and Main streets and the traditional Cruisin’ Main Street, from 8:30-10 p.m., with entry at 13th and Main. A cruise for car show participants only runs from 7-8:30.
Saturday’s Show & Shine is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Main Street, with Music in the Street happening at the same time at New Sixth and Main.

Activities get underway this week for the University of Idaho Habib Institute for Asian Studies’ AsiaPOP! The Korean Wave festival.
Receptions for three gallery exhibits are from 4-6 p.m. today, Thursday, Aug. 22, at the Idaho Student Union Building and Ridenbaugh Hall on the Moscow campus. All will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday through Sept. 13.
- “The Korean Wave: Korean Culture Goes Global” exhibit will be in the ISUB Reflections Gallery.
- “489 Years,” digital animation by award-winning virtual reality artist Hayoun Kwon, also is in the Reflections Gallery.
- The Chonnam National University art faculty and grad student exhibit is in the Ridenbaugh Gallery.

Nimiipuu Fund’s Indigenous Revival Fashion Show, part of this weekend’s Nation Building Business Conference at the Clearwater River Casino & Lodge, starts at 7:30 p.m. Friday and is followed by an after party at the Clearwater River Casino Stadium Sports Bar.
Tickets, $25, are at nimiipuufund.org/nation-building-conference. Tables of as many as five can be reserved for $1,000 and include front-row access, bottle service and a swag bag.
