Tickets are on sale for the next Auditorium Chamber Music Series event at the University of Idaho: a performance from 7-9 p.m. April 9 by the Lysander Piano Trio.
The group, whose name comes from the character in Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” was formed at The Juilliard School in New York City and consists of Itamar Zorman, violin; Liza Stepanova, piano; and Michael Katz, cello.
The trio “has been praised for its incredible ensemble, passionate playing, articulate and imaginative ideas and wide palette of colors,” according to a University of Idaho news release.
It is known for “finding creative ways to connect well-known masterworks with pieces by lesser-known and underrepresented composers, discovering common threads across cultures and times.”
Tickets, at uitickets.com, are $10-$25, cards only.
