Highway 95 Cleanup Party

Palouse Land Trust is spiffing up our adopted section of U.S. Highway 95, and we’d love to have your help. We’ll meet in the northwest corner of the Rosauers parking lot (near the Sonic drive-through window) around 9:15 a.m., where we'll go over how the clean up will work, take care of IDOT release forms, hand out safety equipment and enjoy breakfast snacks to power up for the day. From there, we will carpool to our staging area and get cleaning. Dress for the weather, pack plenty of water (a backpack works great for carrying trash bags and H20), wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes, and bring a pair of work gloves. Safety vests, trash bags, and all other materials will be provided. Depending on the number of volunteers participating, the cleanup should take between two to three hours. Our stretch of highway extends from milepost 348-350, beginning right around Estes Road, and ending at the base of Steakhouse Hill just north of Moscow. Terrain is pretty low-intensity, with a gentle incline. Immediately following the cleanup, please join us for a thank-you barbecue of brats and burgers at Phillips Farm County Park.
