The Indian Agency Cabin, located in the Spalding Picnic Area, will be open for self-guided viewing from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and Tuesdays.
Guided collection tours, 11 a.m. Tuesdays, are lead by curator Kristine Leier, who will guide participants in an exploration of drawers and shelves filled with beautiful and priceless pieces. Tours are limited to eight people and will begin June 28 and end Sept. 5.
The Indian Agency Cabin is the oldest building belonging to Nez Perce National Historical Park, dating back to the Civil War era. Interpretive panels inside the cabin provide information about the Indian Agents as well as the transformation of the building into the Sacajawea Museum and its present condition.
