Japanese American Student Relocation to the Palouse, 1942-45

MJ Vega (master of arts in history, WSU) examines the experiences of Japanese American students at the U of I and WSU during WWII, which reveals an ongoing discussion about American identity, citizenship and race, as the students and their allies on the Palouse challenged anti-Japanese sentiment and nativist prejudice. One in the IAI-ORED Asia Research Brown Bag Series. The talk is in person in IRIC 305 and on Zoom. Visit the Idaho Asia Institute website at uidaho.edu/class/iai
