While driving near Hells Gate Park I noticed the clouds & blue sky were blending together beautifully as well as everything else. The wind was strong that day so I held my camera up through the sun roof and got this shot when the camera beeped that it was focused. 4/2/22 By Jerry Cunnington

Cloudy Day

Jerry Cunningon

It was so windy the day I checked on these Pelicans at Swallows Nest Park that they were not very active except one that decided to fly a short distance to the water.

Short Trip

Jerry Cunningon

I was reading one morning when a loud noise was heard at our patio slider. It startled me and our Bashan Poodle guard dog which ran for safety under the bed. I looked outside and found feathers but no bird. It must have flown away with a bad headache and a few less feathers. It left a perfect print of it's self on the glass which I was able to capture. 2/17/22 By Jerry Cunnington

That Sudden Stop !

Jerry Cunningon

As I was driving back down The Grande Ronde river I just had to stop and capture the beauty of the Ronde bask in stunning back lighting that brought out the awesome features of the landscape. This is not far from where it meets the Snake River.

One more of squirrel sharing with finches.

Gracious squirrel

Jerry Cunningon

Never underestimate the tenacity of a determined squirrel. No matter how many birds were at the feeder he was not going to let them deny him his turn at the bird feed. He was able to climb the steel rod of the shepherds hook our feeders hung from and then hang from the feeders to gorge himself with feed. The dove and the finch waited for their turn. Feeder Thief

South of Asotin sits this no longer used grain elevator from the past. I have seen this many times and I believe that it hasn't been used in 50 or more years .

One More Load?

Jerry Cunningon

As I was driving back home from the Snake River canyon, this buck mule deer got my attention from a hill side close to the road. He seemed to care less that I was watching from less than 100ft. away as I had to coax him to get his attention.
I think his mind was more on food and does than being concerned about me.

Feeding Time

As his line begins to uncurl, this fly fisherman has hopes of a large steelhead waiting for his fly when it lands on the water. By Jerry Cunnington, 11/24/2021.

The Right Fly?

Jerry Cunningon

As the fisherman worked his way down river, I took this shot of the fall colors and the reflections on the water. 11/24/2021 By Jerry Cunnington

Fall reflections

Jerry Cunningon

Saw this lone fly fisherman below Heller Bar. The light was sending beautiful reflections on the water and on the hill sides. As he made his cast to a likely place for a fish, I was able to catch his line as it went to it's target.

Hoping For The Big One

Jerry Cunningon

Driving up the Snake Revere from Asotin, I first saw this guide boat and fishermen in a beautiful setting of fall colors and light and shadow on the hill sides. It was a great day for photography with light causing the colors to explode. I have made this trip up this canyon and beyond many times, but the light and shadows was so profound that I failed to use my polarizer, but it was still a great day to see it all through a lens.
