Pacific Northwest historian Carole Simon-Smolinski will discuss her newest book, "Just Add Water: From Barren Jawbone Flat to Bountiful Clarkston, Washington 1890-1940".
"Just Add Water" is the story of an ambitious late 19th century irrigation project — initiated and funded by Charles Francis Adams Jr., of the prominent Adams political family and president of the Union Pacific Railroad Company — that led to the establishment of the unique community of Clarkston and transformation of Asotin County.
