The story of T.E. Lawrence, the English officer who successfully united and led the diverse, often warring, Arab tribes during World War I in order to fight the Turks. The epic of all epics, it cements director David Lean’s status in the filmmaking pantheon with nearly four hours of grand scope, brilliant performances and beautiful cinematography. This is a movie that demands to be seen on the big screen with a crowd.
