"Linguistic Landscape during the COVID-19 Pandemic in Nepal"

UI professor Bal Sharma will introduce his recent research on how the COVID-19 pandemic landscapes used different semiotic signs to create boundaries of places and people, and will examine the ideological meanings of such boundaries in the broader socio-political context in Nepal. The presentation, one in the IAI-ORED Asia Research Brown Bag series, will be held in the Idaho Asia Institute office in Administration 204.
