Buddymoon, a 2016 indie comedy directed by Moscow native Alex Simmons, is coming to the big screen Tuesday in Moscow.
The movie premiered in select theaters around the country last summer and stars David Giuntoli, from TVs Grimm, as a man named David who is left by his fiancee just days before the wedding. His friend Flula, played by German YouTube personality Flula Borg, insists they go on Davids previously planned honeymoon in the Oregon wilderness.
The film will be shown at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24 at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre, 508 S. Main St.
Admission is $5.
Simmons graduated from Moscow High School in 1996. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, actress Jeanne Syquia, who has a role in Buddymoon. When Inland 360 caught up with Simmons for an update he said hed recently returned from India where he was filming a documentary for the clothing company Patagonia and hes at work developing more movie and TV projects with his friends Giuntoli and Borg. More importantly, he noted, he and Syquia are expecting their first child this summer.
Simmons and the film were featured in the Aug. 4 edition of Inland 360.
