It’s the time of year people get really excited about eggs.

Free egg hunts will take place across the region this weekend. Here’s a look at seven picks for 2019.

Hunt for knowledge

Combine hunting for eggs with education Saturday at Nez Perce National Historical Park at Spalding. From 1 to 3:30 p.m. children of all ages are invited to hunt for eggs in the Spalding Picnic Area. Each egg will have information about the animals that lay them and live in the area. Participating kids will earn a Junior Ranger Badge along with other goodies. Other activities include coloring, games and the opportunity to set up a tepee with a ranger. People are invited to picnic at the park before events begin.

Sip wine while the kids are occupied

Wine is paired with eggs at an Easter Egg Hunt at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lindsay Creek Vineyards in Lewiston. The hunt is for kids ages 2 to 10 and will take place on the patio, north lawn and pergola area. Along with treats for the kids are free wine tastings for adults.
