"The Girls of No Return" is Saldin's debut novel.

“The Girls of No Return” by Erin Saldin is the 2014 Everybody Reads selection.

Saldin’s debut novel is set in Idaho’s Frank Church — River of No Return Wilderness area at the fictional Alice Marshall School for Girls. Here 50 young female delinquents from mostly upper and middle class white families have come to sort out their sordid histories and try to find a path toward trust.

Saldin is scheduled to visit the region in November 2014 for public discussions. The book is widely available at libraries and book stores in the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley and on the Palouse. Now in its 14th year, Everybody Reads is a regional partnership of bookstores, and public and school libraries that encourages all community members to read and discuss the same book.
