The show: A full performance of Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” in sync with a live screening of the movie “Wizard of Oz,” a pop-culture phenomenon sometimes referred to as “The Dark Side of the Rainbow.”
The Sound: Pigs on the Wing doesn’t attempt to impersonate Pink Floyd with look-alike mimicry or note for note replication. Instead, the focus is on interpreting and improvising the music in a fresh way that captures the intense atmosphere and rock energy of the legendary band.
Bio: The band features a collaborative and occasionally rotating roster of musicians composed of members of Portland alt-prog rock act Oxcart and other Northwest musicians brought together by a common appreciation for Pink Floyd.
