Over the last two weeks painters have been outdoors capturing scenes in Moscow and its surrounds for the seventh annual Palouse Plein Air painting competition. An artist’s reception and awards ceremony will open a show of their work from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30 at the Prichard Art Gallery, 414 S. Main St., Moscow. Awards include Best Palouse, Best Historical, Best Downtown, Artists’ Choice, People's Choice and University Student. The exhibit runs through Oct. 8.
