“Pet Portraits” runs through Feb. 22 at the Blue Mountain Artisan Guild Art Center in Pomeroy. This watercolor, “Miracle,” is by featured artist Josephine Watson, age 13.

A reception is set for 5-7 p.m. today, Jan. 12, at the Blue Mountain Artisan Guild Art Center, 745 Main St., Pomeroy, for the guild’s latest show, “Pet Portraits.”

The exhibit of paintings and photos by 10 area artists runs through Feb. 22. Four featured artists, Vonni Mulrony, Sharon Fenton, and Wendi and Josephine Watson, participated in a pet portrait class offered by the guild earlier this month.

Also included will be drawings by schoolchildren showing their pets or pets they want to have.

The gallery’s winter hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday in January, returning to 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in February.
