The WSU School of Music and the Center for Arts and Humanities welcomes Dr. Jace Saplan to present his lecture “Reclaiming Right Relationships: Decolonizing The Ensemble.” This talk is part of the School of Music lecture series “Music: A Mosaic of Experiences.” In music, there are stories. In music, there are sonic lineages. In performing/composing/studying/teaching/ these soundworlds, we communicate their ancestral joy, trials, tribulations, and trauma. What, then, is our reverent responsibility in our study and teaching of music?
