Sam Roxas-Chua

Poet and multimedia artist Sam Roxas-Chua 姚 (Yao) will read/present from his work at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art as a guest of the WSU Visiting Writers Series, a systemwide offering of creative readings, class visits, workshops and collaborative exchanges across intellectual and artistic disciplines. Roxas-Chua has read for PEN International, city government events and is currently an artist-in-residence at the Portland Chinatown Museum. The in-person reading begins at 5 p.m. and will be livestreamed via the VWS YouTube channel. Roxas-Chua is the author of "Saying Your Name Three Times Underwater," "Echolalia in Script," "Fawn Language," and the podcast Dear Someone Somewhere, an audio-journal project.
