Seattle-based musician Norman Baker will play in Lewiston and Moscow this weekend.

Musician Norman Baker has performed at Seattle’s Folklife Festival and the city’s legendary music club, Tractor Tavern. Friday night, Sept. 30, he’ll close out Lewiston’s all-ages summer concert series at Sound Downtown in Brackenbury Square.

The free concert is from 6 to 8 p.m. Baker is a Seattle-based Americana alternative country artist who performs solo and with his touring band the Backroads. He started playing guitar and bass at age 12 and has played various instruments in bands throughout the U.S., Chile and Nigeria, according to his website. He’ll perform solo Friday night.

People are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. Brava’s will be on hand selling beer and wine. Newell Dogs, a full service hot dog cart, will sell food.

If you want to catch Baker a second time he’s scheduled to play at 8 p.m. Sunday night, Oct. 2, at John’s Alley in Moscow.
