Fourth biannual writers’ workshop, in the upstairs lounge of the Lewis-Clark State College Student Union Building/Center For Student Leadership, for aspiring and emerging writers. With discussions about what publications are looking for, where to submit and more, it will cover brainstorming ideas, rough drafts and submitting the work for publication. Though it’s not required, participants are invited to bring brief excerpts of their poetry and prose. A prize will be awarded every 30 minutes during the workshop. For more than 25 years, the student-run literary journal TRR has published the creative works of fiction, poetry and creative nonfiction writers. It is published biannually by the Associated Students of LCSC. Prize sponsors for the night include Blue Lantern Coffee, Amsterdam Coffee Club, Lancer Lanes and the LCSC Humanities Division.
