Whitman County Humane Society volunteers sought for lentil fest beer garden

A jug is filled up with Lentil chili at last year’s National Lentil Festival in Reaney Park in Pullman.

Community members are invited to help the Whitman County Humane Society with an annual fundraiser, serving beer at the National Lentil Festival on Aug. 16 in Pullman.

Volunteers will help staff the festival beer garden, with the Whitman County Humane Society receiving a donation to help fund its shelter operations, medical care and community outreach programs.

Volunteers, who must be 21 or older, will pour beverages, check IDs and sell tickets.
