World Music Celebration Masterclass Workshop - The Essence of Brazilian Rhythms

Lionel Hampton School of Music at the University of Idaho presents a free masterclass workshop, "The Essence of Brazilian Rhythms" featuring international performer Eduardo Mendonca and Navin Chettri, percussion and voice. Part of the 2021 World Music Celebration. Broadcast live from Haddock Hall. Open to all via Zoom. Mendonca has played, composed and directed various genres of Brazilian popular music in the US, Canada, Nepal and Brazil since 1974. Chettri's background and knowledge of music are a blend of Nepali folk music, Indian classical influences, West African/Afro -Cuban/Brazilian rhythms and jazz.
