Carl Zimmer, an award-winning science writer and columnist for the New York Times, will be the keynote speaker for the University of Idaho’s annual media ethics symposium. Zimmer has reported for the Times since 2004, where he writes the weekly science column “Matter.” In 2021, he was a member of a team of journalists at the Times that won the Pulitzer Prize in Public Service for coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic.
