WSU College of Veterinary Medicine’s Teddy Bear Clinic and Open House

Children are encouraged to bring their favorite stuffed animal, get scrubbed in with veterinary students and assist with surgery at the Washington State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital’s Teddy Bear Surgery Clinic from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at the hospital. The clinic is part of the teaching hospital’s annual Open House, which also features an anatomically-painted cow, the Royal Canin Canine Canter 5K, and a variety of other events for people of all ages. Numerous veterinary clubs will be on hand to visit with the public. Proceeds from the 5K will be donated to the Whitman County Humane Society. Check-in is at 8 a.m. and the race will begin at 8:30. Prizes will be awarded to the top-three finishers and for the best dog and runner costume combo.
