The weekend of Aug. 1-3 is  is 1860 Days in Pierce, about an hour’s drive from Orofino. This three-day family event includes a longest beard contest, softball tournament, Dutch-oven cook-off and performances from three bands, including Nu Jack City, which will play for the Saturday night street dance.
