Big Black’s assistant Mark Shin said Boykin will lead a 45-minute moderated discussion about television diversity at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the CUB Ballroom. The free discussion will be followed by a question-and-answer session and a meet-and-greet.

Boykin is the best friend and bodyguard of Rob Dyrdek, a professional skateboarder, actor, producer and brave prankster. As Dyrdek’s sidekick on the show “Rob and Big” as well as “Fantasy Factory,” Boykin offers support with his common catchphrase “Do Work!”

Boykin has set two Guinness world records: One for peeling and eating three bananas in 1 minute and the other for stuffing down five powdered donuts in less than 3 minutes.

The final “Rob and Big” episode aired in 2009, and “Fantasy Factory” is in its final season. Boykin concluded the show after the birth of his daughter, Isis, and now owns his own clothing line, Big Black (BB/Do Work), which can be found at www.dowork.com.

More information on Boykin’s appearance can be found on the WSU Student Entertainment Board Facebook page at facebook.com/SEB.WSU.
