“Through the Glass Ceiling” is a tissue paper collage by Moscow artist Katherine “Kat” Clancy. “I wanted to capture the joy and power that women are gaining as we continue to fight for equality in the workplace,” said Clancy, 71.

Clancy is retired from the University of Idaho, where she worked in accounts receivable. She has studied watercolor since 1993 and is a 14-year member of Palouse Women Artists.

“This is an incredibly supportive group of women,” she said. “We represent all mediums and all levels of expertise. Part of our mission is to provide women in the arts with a strong, enduring support system as they pursue the arts personally and professionally. I have never worked with a group who does this as well as we do.”
