UI Theatre Arts presents student-written ‘Just Bea’

“Just Bea,” a “fast-paced, sweet and often hilarious” play written by University of Idaho Department of Theatre Arts Master of Fine Arts student Bethany Paulsen, opens April 1 at the Pocket Playhouse, Shoup Hall, 1028 W. Sixth St., on the Moscow campus.

The story, directed by fellow MFA student James Napoleon Stone, follows a young working professional, Juliet, who escapes to her family cabin to work through her relationship problems, according to a UI news release. Juliet’s sanctuary is quickly invaded by the presence of an unexpected guest.

Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. April 1-2 and 2 p.m. April 3 with a runtime of approximately 45 minutes. Free parking is available on Sixth Street.

Admission is free for UI students and $5 for the public at the door, which opens 30 minutes prior.
