Where do our Canadian geese go for winter? Silcott Island! The temperature was 15 degrees with windchill around 0 degrees, but there on a stretch of prairie above the west parking lot were possibly a thousand geese taking in the sun's last rays huddled like Antarctic penguins. That is until I came a along. A deafening cacophony of honking and up they flew toward the safety of the Snake River. Within this photo alone are close to 400 geese in flight.
