A massive rock edifice rises above Forest Service Road #255. The narrow, dusty road runs alongside Kelly Creek on the North Fork Ranger District, Clearwater National Forest. Le Ann Wilson of Orofino snapped the photo on July 22, during a day trip to the scenic North Fork Clearwater River back country.

Black-clad Barron, a toy poodle, is perched atop a green pumpkin. Le Ann Wilson snapped the colorful photo on October 30 at her home in Orofino. The Wilson's adopted Barron, who's, sadly, lost the use of his hind legs, in July 2022, shortly after he was rescued by Helping Hands Rescue, Lewiston. The spoiled, six-pound pooch enjoys vanilla ice cream, long naps, and snuggling with his "mom".
Finlay, a kilt-clad, wheaten Scottish terrier, rests for a moment following a snowy, midday romp. Finlay was enjoying the wintry weather with his "mom", Le Ann Wilson. The frosty photo was taken December 20 in Orofino.
The North Fork Clearwater River winds its way through Black Canyon, Forest Service Road #250, Pierce, ID to Superior, MT.. This segment of Road 250 takes off from Kelly Forks and continues north, ending a few miles below The Cedars Campground. Le Ann Wilson snapped the photo on July 22.
Happy Independence Day from brave Barron, Orofino, Idaho! This patriotic pup is celebrating the July 4th holiday with plenty of flag-waving American spirit. Despite his challenges - Barron lost the use of his hind legs due to medical neglect - this little firecracker is the picture of courage, independence, and determination. Le Ann Wilson snapped this star=spangled shot on July 2.
