"Breeding and Raising White Pine Blister Rust-Resistant Tree Seedlings"

This talk by Aram Eramian, superintendent of the Coeur d’Alene Nursery of the U.S. Forest Service, will be at the meeting of the White Pine Chapter of the Idaho Native Plant Society. The presentation will include the history of blister rust, how the Coeur d'Alene Nursery tests white pine and whitebark pine candidate trees, and how they produce seedlings for outplanting on lands managed by the Forest Service, Park Service and Bureau of Land Management.
