June might be far in the rearview mirror as the calendar turns toward fall, but Pride celebrations aren’t over yet.

Chroma LCV’s annual Celebrate Love event is set for 1-8 p.m. Saturday at Beachview Park, 1015 Second St. in Clarkston.

The celebration includes live music by Sammi Hanchett, TJ Richardson, Shania Rales and Redheaded Stepchild, as well as a couple of drag perfor mances.

Chili Blues and We All Scream Ice Cream food trucks will be set up at the park, and businesses such as Zions Bank, T-Mobile, Art Uncorked and Safari Pearl will have booths.

Nonprofit groups set to participate include PFLAG Clarkston, Quality Behavioral Health’s Community Sexual Assault Program, Lewiston Civic Theatre, Episcopal Church of the Nativity, Grace Evangelical Church and YWCA Lewiston-Clarkston.
And North Idaho Alliance of Care will be on site with its mobile testing van providing sexually transmitted infection testing and HIV and hepatitis C screening.

The first Celebrate Love was organized by community members after the Pulse nightclub shooting in June 2016 that killed 49 people in Orlando, Fla. This year’s event will close with a candlelight vigil in remembrance of all who have been lost, according to Myndie VanHorn of Chroma LCV.
