Looking east from Moscow Mountain, the thunder storm clouds in the distance on the left would be over Montana while the clouds closer to home allowed a moon two days shy of full to shine on the Palouse. This was on Monday, May 24, 2021. No rain for us until the next afternoon and then much appreciated!

A patch of bachelor buttons are framed against Idaho's state flower, the syringa, near Moscow Mountain last week (the 7th of July). Flowers will be short living with the summer heat this year.
"A cow moose and her calf stopped in our front yard to pose. Martha and Minnie Moose were invited in for tea but declined," says Karen Purtee of Moscow. The pair were photographed by her daughter Charlene Purtee at teatime on January 8, 2021 East of Moscow.
Idaho's state flower were captured at the end of the day, July 7th. Location is East of Moscow looking toward Troy.
Looking toward Moscow Mountain, this farm truck patiently waits for Spring to come. Even with the warm sun this last week, the night time temperatures fall below freezing in the higher elevations and a foot of snow remains east of Moscow. Taken by Karen Purtee on February 7, 2022.
