PULLMAN — Calling all youngsters who think big trucks are cool.
“Touch-a-Truck,” planned from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at July 22 Christian School, will give children a chance to see and touch a variety of working trucks. Farm trucks, construction trucks and emergency vehicles and the people who drive them will be present and children can pose for photos with the trucks.
Free food and drinks will be provided at the event at 345 S.W. Kimball St.

MOSCOW — A community contra dance July 22 will feature music by Arvid Lundin and Deep Roots at the Old Blaine Schoolhouse south of here.
Caller for the dance will be Joe Michaels.
A covered-dish dinner begins at 6:30 p.m., and dance lessons start at 7:30 p.m., with the dance to follow at 8 p.m.
Cost is $8 regular price, $6 for Palouse Folklore Society members and $5 for first-timers.

LEWISTON — The sixth annual Lewis-Clark Storm Car Show, with the theme “Where Athlete Power Meets Horsepower,” will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 22 at Locomotive Park here.
The event is a fundraiser for the athletes of Lewis-Clark Special Olympics. Organizers suggest a minimum donation of $20 for those wishing to register a car for the show; participants who donate $25 will also receive a car show T-shirt.
Car registration is from 8 to 10 a.m. and the awards presentation begins at 2 p.m.
Locomotive Park is at 2102 Main St. at the bottom of 21st Street.

CLARKSTON — The Wine & Wisdom lecture series continues July 25 with a talk beginning at 6:30 p.m. about how filmmakers were enlisted to help on the homefront as well as abroad during World War II.
John Jensen’s talk, “Hollywood and the Homefront: Tinsel Town’s Contribution to World War II,” will be at Basalt Cellars Winery here, 906 Port Drive.
The presentation will include images, radio and film as well as stories and anecdotes from Hollywood’s war effort, according to a news release.
July 26
LEWISTON — Paul Grove of Spokane, who plays Spanish guitar, will entertain outdoors during lunchtime July 26 on the campus of Lewis-Clark State College here.
Grove will play from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the fountain area on the campus Centennial Mall.
Concertgoers may bring blankets and chairs for seating, as well as their lunch. In addition, food by Sodexo Food Services will be available for purchase.

PULLMAN — Dan Faller and the Working Poor will play Americana and country music as part of the free Concerts in the Park series beginning at 6 p.m. July 26 at Reaney Park here.
Food by Porky’s Pit will be available for purchase beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The park is at 690 Reaney Way.
