LEWISTON Sawyer Brown, a five-member country band, will play a concert beginning at 8 p.m. March 11 at the Clearwater River Casino event center east of here.

Members of the group are Shayne Hillis, Joe Smyth, Jim Scholten, Gregg Hobie Hubbard and Mark Miller.
Tickets cost $20, $40, $55 and $75, and are available through TicketsWest, (800) 325-SEAT, or at the casino box office.
The venue is at 17500 Nez Perce Road, along U.S. Highway 12/95.

WHITE BIRD March Miniature Madness art show and sale will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 12 at Hoots Cafe here.
The free show is sponsored by the Salmon River Art Guild. All works are miniatures and are priced at $50 or less.

ASOTIN The fifth annual Brats & Brews for the Blues will begin at 5:30 p.m. March 12 at the Bennett Building on the Asotin County Fairgrounds here.
The event is a fundraiser to benefit the Asotin County Blues American Legion baseball team.
The all-you-can-eat menu features brats, pulled pork, cheesy potatoes, cowboy beans and coleslaw.
The evening also will features a silent auction, with live music and karaoke beginning at 7 p.m.
Cost is $20 at the door.

LEWISTON The Jazz and Chocolate benefit begins at 7 p.m. March 12 in the Seaport Room of the Red Lion here.
The event is a fundraiser with all proceeds going to Family Promise of Lewis Clark Valley.
The Asotin High School Jazz Band and Jazz Choir will provide dance music, and a dessert bar will offer a variety of treats. Cost is $15, and tickets are available at Rosauers and the Owl Southway, both in Lewiston.

CLARKSTON Two authors will give a presentation titled Weaving American Indian Life into Fiction beginning at 1 p.m. March 12 at And Books Too here.
Paty Jager of central Oregon and Carmen Peone of the Colville Reservation in Washington both write American Indian fiction with Peone specializing in young adult fiction. The store is at 918 Sixth St.
Both authors will sign copies of their books after the presentation.

CLARKSTON Four musical acts will play at the Valley Bluegrass Stage beginning at 7 p.m. March 12 in the Clarkston High School auditorium.
Kevin Pace & the Early Edition, Browns Mountain Boys, Higher Ground and the Potlatch Junior Jammers all will perform.
Admission is $5 for adults with free admission for those 15 and younger. The high school is at 401 Chestnut St.

LEWISTON Author Steven Branting of Lewiston will present a womens history program at 2 p.m. March 15 in the activity room at Royal Plaza Retirement Center here.
The program is titled Gentle & Determined Voices: Lewistons Pioneering Women.
Branting is a retired Lewiston educator and author of a series of books about early Lewiston, most recently Wicked Lewiston. In 2011, he was awarded the Idaho State Historical Societys Esto Perpetua Award.
