Nov. 23
PALOUSE — The 13th annual Turkey Leg Fun Run has become a Thanksgiving Day tradition here. This year’s edition begins at 7:45 a.m. Nov. 23 at the Green Frog Cafe here.
Hot drinks and doughnuts will be served by McLeod’s Palouse Market at the run’s start, when donations will be collected from participants. All proceeds from the run are used to fund new children’s books and activities for the Palouse Library. Additional donations also may be made at the Green Frog Cafe and the Palouse Library.
Organizers report the annual event has raised more than $13,000, purchasing hundreds of children’s books, funding Summer Reading activities and more, according to a news release.
Nov. 25
CLARKSTON — Jill S. Thomas-Jorgenson of Lewiston, author of a series of children’s books, will sign the latest of her works from 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 25 at And Books Too here.
Thomas-Jorgenson’s series are Jill-Pill Adventure Books, and are titled “While the Gull Flies,” “Why My Heart Feels” and “When the Shoe Fits.”
A teacher in the business division at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Thomas-Jorgenson earned a bachelor’s degree from LCSC and a master’s degree from Gonzaga University in Spokane.

Nov. 25
LEWISTON — Sharon Chase Hoseley of Clarkston will sign copies of her 2016 biography, “A Bridge Named Susan,” from 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 25 at His Story Christian Gift Center here.
Hoseley, a retired kindergarten teacher, has written the story of her mother who was raised on the Camas Prairie and lived through the Great Depression. Copies of her books will be available for purchase at the event.

Nov. 27
MOSCOW — A Guitar Ensemble concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 27 in Haddock Performance Hall in the Lionel Hampton School of Music on the campus of the University of Idaho here.
The concert is free.
The hall is at Blake and West Sweet avenues.
Nov. 28
PULLMAN — A Student Chamber Music and Brass Chamber Music performance begins at 8 p.m. Nov. 28 in Bryan Hall Theatre on the campus of Washington State University here.
The free concert will feature “chamber music from Beethoven and Bozza through Hovhaness and Shostakovich,” according to a news release.

LEWISTON — A soup-and-sandwich benefit lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 29 at the Lewiston Eagles, 1310 Main St.
Cost for lunch is $5 and all proceeds go to the Nez Perce Recovery and Resource Center in Lewiston.

PULLMAN — The Washington State University Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band will perform at 8 p.m. Nov. 29 in Bryan Hall Theatre here.
The concert is free.
