Dance for Parkinson’s+

Dance for Parkinson’s+, or D4PD+, launched in June in Moscow Contemporary’s new ADA-compliant space at the Palouse Mall. Following a monthly Summer Intro series our Fall Session begins Sept. 10, meeting weekly from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
There is a $10 optional donation per class, caregivers no extra cost. Check out the webpage for more information and registration. moscowcontemporary.org/dance-for-parkinsons
D4PD+ is designed for people with Parkinson’s and MS but available to anyone wanting to increase mobility, improve balance and move with grace and joy. Classes can be taken seated, standing or with a mobility device and require no prior experience or diagnosis. Classes prioritize an expansive, creative and communal experience while developing strength, alignment and gait fluidity. Each session is accompanied by live local musicians responsive to the needs of the group. Lead teacher Corrie Befort trained in the Dance for PD® method with NYC program founder David Leventhal.
