UI student event celebrating song & dance returns tonight


A student-led dance and music production billed as a modern vaudeville show returns today through Saturday, March 23-25, at the University of Idaho’s Hartung Theatre in Moscow and Sunday online.

DancersDrummersDreamers, in its 32nd year, is produced by the University of Idaho Dance Program with the Lionel Hampton School of Music, according to a UI news release. The program, with music, dance, song and slapstick comedy, was founded in 1991 by the school’s jazz choir director, Dan Bukvich, and dance center director, Diane Walker.

It features student dance choreography performed to original, live music composed by faculty members and students.

Tickets for the family-friendly event, described as eclectic, playful, entertaining, high-energy and imaginative, can be purchased online or at the door 30 minutes before showtime.
