I attended my first comic book convention in 2014. One of the special guests was my childhood hero, William "Captain James T. Kirk" Shatner. Since I've been to countless Star Trek Conventions in the past (last one I attended was in 1995), I had a plethora of costumes to choose from, but I decided to step outside the norm, and dabble a bit into what's known as "cross-play." Sorry to disappoint you, folks, but I did not reprise my role as Yeoman Rand at Lilac City Comicon in Spokane, WA, this year. Instead, I went as Captain Aaron Winters, of the United Earth Ship Prospero, who found himself in the early 21st Century, near Riverdale, and befriended Betty Cooper (Zabracus, from Salt Lake City, UT), and Veronica Lodge (Alkali Layke, from Boise, ID). I also wanted an excuse to have my friend, Mark Strock (aka Muddseye), test out my new Google Pixel's camera.

Moscow Church of the Nazarene Women's Ministry held their annual “Beans & Jeans” Diaper Drive, where appox. 3500 diapers were donated. These diapers will be given to the Palouse Care Network and the Moscow Food Bank.
