The University of Idaho's Cruise the World includes food, dance and culture from nearly two dozen countries. This year's event is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Bruce M. Pitman Center, 709 Deakin Ave., Moscow.

Moscow’s
3rd Thursday Artwalk, from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, boasts 14 host locations around the city showcasing a variety of arts and culture.
Artist Katherine Shepard, whose work features a variety of animals — including Appaloosa horses — will be on display at the Appaloosa Museum & Heritage Center Foundation, 2720 W. Pullman Road.
Other venues are: Moscow Chamber of Commerce, RE/MAX Connections, Colter’s Creek Winery, Pour Company, Moscow Elks Lodge, Moscow Food Co-op, Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre, Craft Artbar and Studio, John’s Alley Tavern, Thrivent Financial, Ridenbaugh Gallery, Moscow Contemporary and Knit Designing Community.

Spring shopping will be in full swing from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday during the
LCV A
rtisan Market at the Nez Perce County Fairgrounds, 1229 Burrell Ave., Lewiston.
The event promises food trucks and more than 80 local vendors, with the $2 entry fee going to a local 4-H group.
The first 50 attendees will receive a reusable shopping bag.

Palouse Land Trust’s
Spring Equinox Walk celebrates the arrival of a new season at 1 p.m. Saturday at Judy’s Trail, near Troy.
The casual walk will follow the trail as it passes along Big Meadow Creek and i
nto the Neuman Conservation Forest, stopping at the Neuman Environmental Learning Pavilion, according to a Palouse Land Trust news release.
The trailhead is on the right hand side of McKeehan Road, just past the Y intersection at Big Meadow Road and McKeehan Road. Organizers ask participants to park along the road, as the parking area remains muddy.
The event is family friendly, but dogs are not allowed.

Author
Eija Sumner will celebrate the publication of her new children’s book at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre, 508 S. Main St., Moscow.
Sumner, of Moscow, will sign, read from and conduct a question-and-answer session about
“The Good Little Mermaid’s Guide to Bedtime” at the event.
The picture book, geared toward children ages 3-7, relates the tale of a young mermaid who resists going to sleep.
Copies of the hardcover book, $18.99, will be available for purchase from BookPeople of Moscow.

Culture, food and music from more than 20 countries will be shared during the University of Idaho’s 26th annual
Cruise the World from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Bruce M. Pitman Center, 709 Deakin Ave., Moscow.
Students will perform traditional dances and songs and demonstrate activities from their home counties during the free event. Food and drink will be available for purchase with cash only.
The celebration, presented by the International Programs office, attracted more than 2,000 attendees last year, according to a UI news release.

Winners from the Washington Idaho Symphony’s Young Artists Music Competition will perform at 3 p.m. Sunday at the
Young Artists Music Festival in the University of Idaho Administration Auditorium, 851 Campus Drive, Moscow.
Students from high school, undergraduate and graduate divisions will play selections from Ludwig van Beethoven, Pablo de Sarasate, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonin Dvorak.
