Spokane-based dance company Quiero Flamenco brings its latest production, “Tablao Flamenco,” to Moscow from 3-4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre, 508 S. Main St.

The performance, the finale in Festival Dance and Performing Arts’ Great Performances season, was moved to the Kenworthy after a fire damaged the exterior of the originally scheduled location, the University of Idaho’s Hartung Theatre.

“ ‘Tablao Flamenco’ will provide an afternoon of Flamenco magic — highlighting the improvisational communication between dancers and live musicians in the ever-changing art of Flamenco,” Festival Dance Executive Director Tim Sievers said in a news release.

The flamenco art form of vocals, guitar and dance, which originated in the Andalucía region of southern Spain, is known for its bold style.

Quiero Flamenco founder Monica Mota’s extensive resume includes dancing professionally for companies in New Mexico and Seattle and as a soloist for flamenco groups including the Denver Flamenco Fantasy Dance Theatre, Oleaje Flamenco of Seattle and Chicas Patas of Spokane.

Tickets, $25 for adults and $10 for students, are at festivaldance.org.
