Kiddos can work off excess post-holiday energy at the last
Winter Break Swim from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Friday at the Asotin County Family Aquatic Center, 1603 Dustan Loop, Clarkston.
Prices for the swim are half off the daily rates of $5.99 for youths and $7.99 for adults.

There’s no cover charge for the
Black Tie NYE Party, but VIP tickets, ensuring entry without a wait, are $30 at pullmanvip.com. Black tie or cocktail attire is encouraged but not required for the 21-and-older event.
The annual
First Day Hike at Hells Gate State Park, 5100 Hells Gate Road in Lewiston, is a good way to shake off any aftereffects from New Year’s Eve celebrations and welcome 2024.
Visitors are welcome to explore the park’s 12-plus miles of trails with unguided hikes from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday. There’s a $7-per-vehicle park entry fee for those without passes.
Participants can check in at the Discovery Center to register before they set out, then stop by on their return for free chili and hot drinks.
Organizers encourage hikers to wear comfortable walking shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. Leashed dogs are welcome.
