Fawn on the golf course

Jennifer K Bauer
On Tuesday, May 24 my golf ball landed near the water hazard on #6 fairway at Clarkston Golf & Country Club. When locating the ball I discovered that it was only 3 feet from a baby deer. You can see the white ball in the foreground. I carefully removed the ball with my water retriever, and dropped it far enough away to continue play. The fawn's mother obviously teach them to lie still in this type of situation. This fawn never moved a muscle nor an ear during the entire episode. Photo by Charlie Truksa of Lewiston.
