As the leaves turn deeper shades of scarlet, gold and yellow, here’s a few ways to celebrate autumn in the region beginning Thursday, Oct. 12 through Sunday, Oct. 15.

Gourdgeous Gourds

What: Create a unique centerpiece out of gourds and pumpkins using living succulents, pinecones, seed pods and other fall items.

Cost: Class is $50, all supplies and instruction included. Registration available by contacting the garden center at (509) 758-4104 or info@pattsgardencenter.com.

When: 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday

Where: Pat’s Garden Center, 1280 Port Drive, Clarkston

Annual Fall Festival and Cider Pressing

What: Activities for all ages include apple cider pressing, horse-drawn wagon rides (10 a.m. to noon), nature activities and crafts, live music and a visit from the Washington State University Raptors (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) Food from Mikey’s Gyros will be for sale. Donations are welcome. The event is sponsored by Latah County Parks & Recreation, Friends of Phillips Farm Park Inc., and the Moscow High School Environmental Club. The park is located 5 miles north of Moscow at 4709 Highway 95.

When: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday

Where: Phillips Farm Park, Moscow

Oktoberfest Lindsay Creek Style

What: Oktoberfest food and beverages along with wine and beer, brats, sauerkraut and potatoes

Cost: $8.

When: 4-8 p.m. Friday and Saturday

Where: Lindsay Creek Vineyards, 3107 Powers Ave., Lewiston

Octobrewfest 2017

What: An array of beer varieties will be served at this outdoor festival

Cost: Admission is $20

When: 2-6 p.m. Saturday

Where: Nez Perce County Fairgrounds, 1229 Burrell Ave., Lewiston

Pumpkin Patch

What: The patch will feature more than 3,000 pumpkins and gourds of all sizes for sale, along with youth activities, games and photo opportunities. Cost: Free, with pumpkins for sale. Donate two cans of food, and get $1 off a pumpkin. All proceeds will support the United Methodist Committee on Relief. Food will be donated to a local food bank.
