A beloved Whitman County tradition. Meet at 9 a.m. at the high school to prepare for the parade, which starts at 10. Born out of a family's creative solution to Fourth of July boredom in 1967, the Johnson Parade has grown into an annual event known for its quirky floats, bizarre costumes and carefree atmosphere.
Parade walkers can join in celebrating this local tradition; no registration is necessary.
